Baldwin Wallace University

Tony Tatro enters his 6th season as the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Baldwin Wallace University in 2027. The 2022 and 2023 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Coach of the Year has won 143 career games in his college coaching career, including 134 at BW. He is the winningest head coach in program history, compiling a 68-24 record (.739) through his first five seasons. Tatro has led the Yellow Jackets to an impressive 43-1 OAC regular season record, resulting in five OAC Regular Season Championships and five straight OAC Championship appearances.

Coaching Experience Outside of BW

In between stints at BW, Tatro served as an assistant coach/defensive coordinator at Wittenberg University, where he helped lead the team to a 9-7 overall record, a 6-2 mark in the North Coast Athletic Conference, and an NCAC postseason tournament appearance. The Tigers produced seven All-NCAC selections, including two first-team picks, and two IMLCA All-Region recipients.

Before coaching at the collegiate level, Tatro spent four seasons as the head varsity boy’s lacrosse coach at Walsh Jesuit High School, where he compiled a career divisional record of 31-22. He coached the 2012 Ohio DII Goalie of the Year and was named the 2014 North Coast League Coach of the Year.

Hometown Roots

• A native of Akron, Ohio, Tatro was a standout goalkeeper at Walsh Jesuit High School.
• Tatro spent two years playing collegiate lacrosse at NCAA Division II Wheeling Jesuit University before earning his Bachelor of Arts in communication studies from Kent State University in December 2013.

Coach Tatro resides in Berea with his wife Kelsey and son Cillian.
