BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Tyler Beaton has played his second and final year of soccer and tennis as a senior at Baldwin Wallace University in 2012-2013. Tyler earnd his second varsity letter in soccer.
GENERAL TENNIS INFORMATION: Tyler has had a solid tennis career thus far. BW has recorded an 48-5 record during his two seasons as a Yellow Jacket. He has appeared in 27 singles matches for a record of 24-3. Tyler has also appeared in 46 doubles matches for a record of 39-7.
As a sophomore in 2009-10, Tyler played in his first season of tennis and earned a varsity letter. He was the starter at No.3 doubles along with freshman Joe Horvath. The duo combined for a team best 19-2 record, going 8-1 in OAC play. He also saw limited action in singles play and compiled a 4-0 record. Tyler helped B-W compile a 19-4 overall and 7-2 OAC record, place third during the OAC regular season and second at the 2010 OAC Tournament.
As a junior in 2011-12, Tyler competed his second season of tennis and earned his second varsity letter. Tyler had a record of 20-3 in singles play. In doubles matches Tyler held a record of 20-5. B-W finished with it's season with a 29-1 record, won the OAC regular season and tournament titles and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
As a senior in 2012-13, Tyler will play in his third season of tennis will look to earn his third varsity letter.
GENERAL SOCCER INFORMATION: Tyler attended Slippery Rock University his freshman year of college. As a sophomore Tyler completed his first season of soccer here at BW. Tyler was backup keeper his junior year completing one of the best golakeeping units in the OAC.
As a freshman in 2009, Tyler attended Slippery Rock (Pa.) University but did not participate in athletics.
As a sophomore in 2010, Tyler played his first season of soccer. He was a backup goalkeeper and earned a certificate of participation.
As a junior in 2011, Tyler was a part of a goalkeeping unit that is one of the best in the OAC Conference. He appeared in 4 games and started in 2 for a total of 203:56 minutes. In his 4 appearances he recorded 10 saves allowing 2 goals and finishing with a 1-1 record and a 0.88 goals against average. His contributions helped the Yellow Jackets to a record breaking season as the team finished with a 16-6 overall record.
As a senior in 2012, Tyler played in his third season of soccer and earned his second varsity letter. Tyler played in 5 games his senior year.
