ACADEMIC MAJOR: Sport Management
BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Melissa Vermes played two seasons of softball at Baldwin Wallace University and earned two varsity letters. As a fresman and sophomore, Melissa attended Cuyahoga Community College and played softball.
ACADEMIC HONORS: Melissa carries a 3.906 grade point average, is a Dean's List student, member of the Dayton C. Miller and Chi Sigma Alpha honoraries and a Jacket Scholar. As a senior in 2013-2014, she earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors.
GENERAL SOFTBALL INFORMATION: Melissa Vermes played in her second season of softball at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014. She earned her second varsity letter. Melissa transferred to BW in the Fall of 2012 from Cuyahoga Community College.
As a junior in 2013-2014, Melissa played her first season of softball at BW and earned her first varsity letter. She appeared in 14 games and batted .333 with six runs scored.
As a senior in 2014-2015, Melissa played her second season of softball and earned her second letter. She appeared in 10 games, including one start, batted .000 in three at-bats and scored one run. BW finished 18-19 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Melissa Vermes grew up in Middleburg Heights, Ohio and graduated from Midpark High School. She played volleyball, basketball and softball.
Academically, Melissa was a member of the National Honors Society and received a Presidential Award.
