BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: As a sophomore in 2012-13, Laurel completed her second season of basketball and earned her second varsity letter.
GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION: Laurel is off to a solid basketball career thus far. B-W recorded a 17-10 record during her first season as a Yellow Jacket. She appeared in 11 games and averaged 1.6 points per games and grabbed 1.6 rebounds per game. Laurel finished the season with 18 points, ones assist, and two steals.
As a freshman in 2011-12, Laurel played in her first season of women's basketball. She saw playing time in eleven contests. Laurel averaged 6.6 minutes a game, scored 1.6 points-per-game, grabbed 1.6 rpg., and shot 41.7 percent (5-of-12) from the field. She scored a career-high five points in a B-W 67-48 victory at OAC rival Heidelberg University on January 25, 2012. Laurel will look to receive more playing time next season.
As a sophomore in 2012-13, Laurel played her second season of basketball and earned her second varsity letter. She appeared in 15 contests for the 16-9 Yellow Jackets, averaging 1.8 points and 1.3 rebounds per outing while shooting 50.0 percent (11-of-22) from the field and registering a pair of steals. She scored in 10 of her 15 games, including matching a career-high with five points in a 53-44 loss at Capital University on Dec. 8.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Laurel Thomas grew up in Canton, Ohio and graduated from Canton Central Catholic High School.
HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PLAYED (YEARS & LETTERS EARNED): Laurel played four seasons of basketball and earned four varsity letters (2007-11).
HIGH SCHOOL HONORS, (ALL-CONFERENCE, DISTRICT, ETC.): In basketball as a junior in 2009-10, Laurel earned third-team All-Northeast Ohio District IV honors and was named to the Mayor's Cup All-Star team. As a senior in 2010-11, she earned second-team All-Stark County and second-team All-NEO District IV honors as well as being named to the Mayor's Cup for the second straight year.
