ACAMDEMIC MAJOR: Pre-Physcial Theraphy/ Exercise Science
BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Cara Wood tried to play her third season of lacrosse at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015 but an injury cut her season short. She has earned one varsity letter.
SCHOOL RECORDS: Cara scored a single-game record nine points versus Hiram in 2014.
GENERAL LACROSSE INFORMATION: As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Cara did not play lacrosse due to an injury.
As a red-shirt sophomore in 2013-2014, Cara played her first season of lacrosse and earned her first varsity letter. She started all 18 games, took 93 shots, including 76 on-goal, was tied for third in scoring with 40 goals, had 18 assists and 58 total points. She also collected 36 ground balls, won 28 draw controls and caused 27 turnovers. She had a then school-record nine points against Hiram College on April 2, 2014. BW set a single-season school-record with 14 victories, finished 14-4 overall and advanced to the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Match.
As a junior in 2014-2015, Cara tried to play her second season of lacrosse, but an injury forced an early end to her season. She received a certificate of participation. Cara played in seven games, including three starts, took 21 shots, including 14 on-goal, scored nine goals and had six assists for 15 points. She also collected seven ground balls, won two draw controls and caused four turnovers. BW finished 8-6 overall and advanced to its second straight OAC Championship Game.
As a senior in 2015-2016, Cara is playing her third season of soccer and hopes to earn her second letter.

HIGH SCHOOL BACKGROUND: Cara Wood grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio and graduated from Laurel High School. Cara earned Second Team All-Region, All-Conference, First Team All-Ohio, and was an All-American for her efforts in lacrosse.
