BEREA, Ohio – The No. 18 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team defeated La Roche (Pa.) University by a final score of 70-62 in a non-conference game on Scott Lang Court inside the Kerr Sport and Fitness Center.
BW (4-1) earns their fourth straight win despite a strong second half from La Roche (3-2). With the victory, Head Coach Cheri Harrer ties the Ohio Athletic Conference All-Time Head Coaching Wins record as the Yellow Jackets conclude the non-conference portion of the 2024-25 schedule.
BW Leaders
- Senior All-OAC guard Emily Irwin (Pickerington/Pataskala Watkins Memorial) had a team high 26 points and went 3-3 on three-point shots
- Junior guard Alyssa Miller (New Philadelphia) led the team with four assists and a 100% FG percentage for nine points
- Sophomore guard Taylor Bass (Strongsville) totaled a team-high two blocks and added two defensive rebounds
- Sophomore guard Kayla Jones (Grove City) and senior All-OAC forward Caely Ressler (Napoleon) both totaled six points
- Senior OAC forward and OAC Player of the Week Bella Vaillant (Perrysburg) led the team with six rebounds
- Sophomore guard Laura McCoy (Newton Falls/Garrettsville Garfield) had a career-high 12 points and two blocks
La Roche Leaders
- Freshman guard J'La Kizart led with 16 points and five steals
- Senior forward Dasja Anderson had 14 points, two steals, and one block
- Junior guard Jazmine Dunn had 15 points and went 3-3 on free throws
1st Quarter BW (12-10)
- McCoy went 2-2 on free throws and grabbed a defensive rebound
- Miller had three assists and a steal
2nd Quarter BW (30-19)
- Jones went 2-2 on free throws and added an assist
- Bass had two defensive rebounds and an assist
3rd Quarter BW (48-40)
- Vaillant had two defensive rebounds
- Freshman forward Maddy Stumpf (Johnstown/Big Walnut) had one block

- Irwin went 4-5 on free throws
- Ressler had two assists
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, December 4 as they travel to Ada to take on Ohio Northern University in the Ohio Athletic Conference opener at 7 p.m. inside the ONU Sports Center.
