BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University baseball team, under the direction of fifteenth-year head coach Brian Harrison, has announced its schedule for the 2025 season.
BW returns to the diamond after finishing with a 36-10 record and a 15-3 record in conference play last season. The Yellow Jackets come off an Ohio Athletic Conference regular season title, an OAC Tournament title, and a NCAA Regional Tournament appearance.
Coach Harrison's squad opens the season on the weekend of February 21-23 as the Yellow Jackets head down to Kentucky to take on Franklin (Ind.) College and North Park (Ill.) University in Richmond, Kentucky on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University, and will meet up with Hope (Mich.) College in Winchester, Kentucky for another non-conference game. The next weekend, the Brown and Gold head south again to Lexington, Kentucky as they compete in a round-robin tournament hosted by Tranylvania (Ky.) University. On March 1, BW takes on Hope in a rematch and will then play Babson (Mass.) College in the nightcap. The Yellow Jackets conclude the roadtrip by facing the host Transylvania the following day.
The team will then take its annual spring break trip as they travel to Lexington, South Carolina from March 8 through March 12.
The Brown and Gold returns to the Buckeye State as it competes in the Granville Tournament from March 14-16. BW will take on North Central (Ill.) College, Adrian (Mich.) College, and the host Denison University in a trio of non-conference games. The squad then makes its return to Fisher Field as they face off against Westminster (Pa.) College on March 19 before opening the Ohio Athletic Conference schedule with a home doubleheader against Ohio Northern University on March 22.
BW also hosts home conference doubleheaders against Heidelberg University on April 1, Marietta College on April 5, Muskingum University on April 12, and will end the regular season with the last ever OAC meeting between the Yellow Jackets and crosstown rival John Carroll University on May 2.
The team will also have league doubleheaders at Wilmington College on March 29, at the University of Mount Union on April 9, at Otterbein University on April 18, and at Capital University on April 26.
The rest of the 2024 schedule features non-conference home games against Bluffton University on March 25 and Oberlin College on April 21. The Yellow Jackets wrap up their schedule with non-conference roadtrips to Allegheny (Pa.) College on March 26, Ohio Wesleyan University on April 14, Hiram College on April 23, and Case Western Reserve University on April 29.
