PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team defeated Chatham (Pa.) University in a non-conference game by a final score of 2-0 on the Graham Field.
BW Leaders (3-1)
- Senior defender Ella Barth (Highland / Mayfield) scored the game's first goal at the 47:16 mark of the second half
- Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference defender Ella James (Loveland) provided the assist for Barth
- Freshman midfielder Delaine Zura (Perrysburg / Eastwood) scored the first goal of her collegiate career (unassisted) at the 66:04 mark of the second half
Chatham Leaders (2-2)
- Freshman midfielder Elizabeth Gallup made three shots with each on goal
- Freshman goalkeeper Kyanni Escudero made eight saves
First Half
- BW outshot Chatham 12-2
- Chatham made five saves
- The Yellow Jackets won the corner kick battle by a 3-2 margin
Second Half
- The Brown and Gold made five saves
- BW made three corner kicks
- The Yellow Jackets outshot Chatham 11-7
BW is back in action on Sunday, Sept. 8 as it hosts its home opener in a non-conference contest against Kalamazoo (Mich.) College. The game is set to begin at 1 p.m. on the Tressel Field inside of George Finnie Stadium.
