GREENWOOD, Ind. – Seven Baldwin Wallace University football student-athletes have been named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Academic All-District Team.
Senior offensive lineman
Cole Bryan (Lancaster/Amanda Clearcreek), senior offensive defensive lineman
Grant Davis (Ottawa Hills) and senior defensive lineman
Bryce Sanders (North Ridgeville/Midview) earn their second straight accolade. While senior offensive lineman
Dominic Biagiotti (Brunswick/Padua Franciscan), sophomore linebacker
Nolan Hartsel (Lodi/Northwestern), sophomore running back
George Linberger (Barberton/St. Vincent-St. Mary) and sophomore offensive lineman
Nick Lulow (Painesville/Riverside) earn their first career honor. The six student-athletes now advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, which will be announced on January 28.
Bryan, who garners his second straight accolade, carries a 3.71 grade point average in business administration. This season, he appeared and started in all 10 games at right tackle.
Bryan anchored an offensive line that averaged 371.3 yards of total offense. For his career,
Bryan has appeared in 32 games and started 30 at right tackle. Off the field, he is a three-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.
Davis, who earns his second straight honor, carries a 4.00 grade point average in chemistry. This season, he started in all 10 games at right guard after switching from the defensive line.
Davis anchored an offensive line that averaged 371.3 yards of total offense. For his career,
Davis has appeared in 30 games, including 20 at defensive tackle. He has recorded 45 tackles, four tackles for a loss and 1.5 quarterback sacks. Davis was a 2024 All-OAC second-team selection, Off the field,
Davis is a three-time Academic All-OAC honoree, 2023 BW Academic Excellence Award recipient for highest grade point average on team, 2023 BW Lee Tressel Academic Award winner, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma and Dayton C. Miller honoraries.
Sanders, who garners his second straight accolade, carries a 3.72 grade point average in pre-allied health and pre-physical therapy. This season, he appeared 10 games at defensive tackle.
Sanders recorded 19 tackles, including 2.5 for loss, with two quarterback hurries. For his career,
Sanders has played in 24 games with 19 starts. He has recorded 40 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss and 1.5 quarterback sacks. Off the field,
Sanders is a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree and a Jacket Scholar.
Biagiotti, who earns his first honor, carries a 3.64 grade point average in pre-allied health and pre-physical therapy. This season, he appeared and started in all 10 games at center.
Biagiotti anchored an offensive line that averaged 371.3 yards of total offense. For his career,
Biagiotti has appeared and started in 29 games at center. Off the field, he is an Academic All-OAC honoree, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.
Hartsel, who garners his first accolade, carries a 3.94 grade point average in accounting. This season, he appeared in all 10 games and was second on the team with a career-high four quarterback sacks, tied for second on squad with a career-best seven tackles for loss and fourth on the team with a career-high 41 tackles.
Hartsel also recovered one fumble. For his career,
Hartsel has appeared in 20 games and has recorded 65 tackles, including 11 for a loss, 5.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries and one quarterback hurry. Off the field, he is an Academic All-OAC honoree.
Linberger, who earns his first honor, carries a 3.73 grade point average in sport management. This season, he started all 10 games at running back and led the team with 485 yards on 124 carries with three touchdowns. Linberger also caught eight passes for 46 yards. For his career,
Linberger has appeared in 20 games and has rushed for 1,074 yards on 240 carries with 11 touchdowns. He has caught 17 passes for 159 yards. Off the field, he is an Academic All-OAC honoree.
Lulow, who garners his first accolade, carries a 3.95 grade point average in finance. This season, he appeared and started in all 10 games at left guard.
Lulow anchored an offensive line that averaged 371.3 yards of total offense. For his career,
Lulow has appeared in 18 games. Off the field, he is an Academic All-OAC honoree.
BW finished the 2024 season with an overall record of 7-3 and an 6-3 mark in the OAC.
