Men's Soccer Drops OAC Battle with Wilmington

The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team fell to Wilmington College by a score of 2-0 on the turf of George Finnie Stadium.

BW Leaders (5-10-1, 1-3 OAC)

  • Junior transfer midfielder Dominic Massaro (Lewiston, N.Y./Lewiston Porter) led the Yellow Jackets by taking three shots

  • Sophomore midfielder Robbie Rochford (Fairlawn/Copley) and sophomore defender Brady Brown each took one shot on goal, which led the offense

  • Junior goalkeeper Seth Warrick (Avon) had four saves as the starting goalkeeper
  • The Yellow Jackets had five corner kicks, besting the Quakers' four
Wilmington Leaders (11-3-2, 4-1 OAC)
  • Forward Parker Burke and forward Eli Erych each scored one goal to lead the Quakers to victory

  • Forward Noah Lee and midfielder Vigor Karlsson each had one assist to lead the offense

  • In addition to his goal, Burke had five shots taken, with three of them being on goal, to lead the team in both of the respective categories

  • Goalkeeper Judah Hanks had a perfect saving percentage, protecting two shots from going through

  • The game was scoreless at the break. BW had two corner kicks and three saves to lead both teams in this category

Second Half (Wilmington 2-0)

  • 60:32 - Wilmington got on the board first with Eyrich connecting and Lee on the assist

  • 66:28 - Burke tallied the final goal for the Quakers a little less than six minutes after they took the lead with Karlsson on the assist. As a result, BW dug themselves in a 2-0 hole, and they were unable to break out of it
