Men's Soccer Falls on the Road to Mount Union

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup on the road to the University of Mount Union by a final score of 3-0 for their fifth straight loss.

BW Leaders (5-11-1, 1-4 OAC)

  • Senior Academic All-OAC midfielder Owen Reyes (North Olmsted) and sophomore midfielder Robbie Rochford (Fairlawn/Copley) led the Brown and Gold by taking one shot, with Reyes having the only one on goal

  • Junior goalkeeper Diego Teran (Exton, Pa./Henderson) was at net for the Yellow Jackets and he had three saves

  • BW had three saves while Mount Union only had one

Mount Union Leaders (10-2-3, 1-4 OAC)

  • Midfielders Braedon Kennedy and Frank Washburn, along with forward Alex Depperschmidt each had one goal to lead the Purple Raider offense

  • Midfielder Dom Kustura assisted on two of the goals to lead the team

  • Forward Amir Spratt led the way with four shots taken and two of them at the target

  • Goalkeeper Enio Hoxha saved one Yellow Jacket shot

First Half (Tied 0-0)

  • The first half was scoreless and BW recorded three saves in the opening 45 minutes of play while the Purple Raiders had one

Second Half (Mount Union 3-0)

  • 48:30 - Depperschmidt scored a goal bottom-left to give the Purple Raiders the lead early in the second half, 1-0 with White coming in on the assist 

  • 57:23 - Washburn came through on a shot top-right to put Mount Union up 2-0 and Kustura assisted the goal

  • 64:42 - The Purple Raiders got some insurance on a goal by Kennedy to put them up by three in the middle of the second half
