MARIETTA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's volleyball team fell to the Marietta College Pioneers 1-3 in Ban Johnson Arena. The Yellow Jackets are now 4-2 in the OAC with losses to No. 15 Otterbein and No. 20 Marietta.
BW made its mark in the first set by winning 25-23 to set the tone against the conference leaders. This fight brought the best out of both sides in set two with Marietta finding the advantage 28-26. The Pioneers outlasted the Yellow Jackets over the next two sets by winning 25-18 and 25-17 in the third and fourth sets, respectively. Coach
Kate Latkovic's team won ten consecutive sets going into the second set of the night. The Yellow Jackets certainly proved their abilities against ranked opponents this season so far after going to five sets with No. 15 Otterbein less than two weeks ago.
BW Leaders (14-12, 4-2 OAC)
- No. 6 Katarina Blazetic (DeLand, Fla.) had an exceptional night on both sides of the ball by notching 39 assists and 24 digs to lead the team in both categories with her double-double. This was a career best in digs for the setter.
- Sophomore outside hitter Lyla Nash (Berkey / Evergreen) had a team-leading 13 kills tonight.
- Senior outside hitter Gabby Schlecht (Naperville, Ill. / North) shared the team lead in aces and blocks with two of each.
- First-year Grace Keane (Cleveland / St. Joseph Academy) also had two blocks and fellow first-year Morgan Kaylor (Galloway / Hilliard Bradley) tallied two aces.

- Jillian Fellers and Emily Piehler each had 15 kills
- Emory Spitler had 50 assists and 19 digs
- Keira Shannon got 35 digs to lead the Pioneers
