TIFFIN, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's volleyball team, led by
Head Coach Kate Latkovic, earned a 3-0 victory over Heidelberg University on the road while improving to 15-12 overall and 5-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
BW took an OAC road victory like it was business as usual for the Jackets. They have gracefully handled their away-heavy OAC campaign with a 4-1 road record this season. After a 25-22 opening set victory, the Jackets rolled over the Student Princes 25-15 in the second set. The third set was a fight that resulted in a 26-24 victory to end their night early. BW has beaten their opponents in three sets in 10 out of their 15 victories this season, and they have proven themselves as a team built for consistency.
BW Leaders (15-12, 5-2 OAC)
- Senior All-Academic OAC setter Katarina Blazetic (DeLand, Fla.) posted a double-double in her second consecutive match with 36 assists and 19 digs.
- Junior right side hitter Lexi Smith (Tiffin / Columbian) led the team in kills with 16.
- First-year Morgan Kaylor (Galloway / Hilliard Bradley) and first-year Katrina Kassner (Oregonia / William Mason) shared the team lead in aces with two each.
Heidelberg Leaders (15-14, 3-4 OAC)
- Kaitlyn Uffman made a team-leading four blocks.
- Grace Dohanyos led the Student Princes with 21 digs.
- Olivia Miller earned 12 assists to lead the team.
