BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team closed out the fall portion of its schedule as it defeated Carlow (Pa.) University in a non-conference match by a final score of 6-1 on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts.
BW (4-2), who has won its last three matches, claimed victories in two doubles matches and five singles matches. Carlow (1-8) won one doubles match and one singles match.
Doubles
- Junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Colleen Andersen (Ashtabula/St. John) and junior Academic All-OAC Olivia Koutouras (Avon Lake) fell at first doubles by a score of 6-3
- Senior Gillian Brown (Brunswick) and junior Academic All-OAC Samantha Thielen (Toledo/Sylvania Northview) won at second doubles by a score of 6-3
- Junior Academic All-OAC Saraphina Groh (Cuyahoga Falls) and sophomore Kate Slutz (Salem/West Branch) won at third doubles by a score of 6-0
Singles
- Andersen won at first singles by scores of 7-6 (7-3) and 6-3
- Koutouras won at second singles by scores of 4-6, 6-1 and 10-4
- Brown won at third singles by scores of 6-0 and 6-2
- Groh fell at fourth singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-1
- Thielen won at fifth singles by identical scores of 6-0
- Slutz won at sixth singles by identical scores of 6-2
The Yellow Jackets will return to action in February 2026.
