WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The No. 20 nationally ranked and five-time defending Ohio Athletic Conference champion Baldwin Wallace University men's wrestling team has been voted first in the 2025–26 OAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
BW received 36 points and six first-place votes to lead the field. Ohio Northern University followed in second with 31 points and one first-place vote, while the University of Mount Union placed third with 25 points. Heidelberg University (22 points) and Otterbein University (16 points) rounded out the top five.
Under the tutelage of
15-year head coach Jamie Gibbs— the 2024–25 OAC Coaching Staff of the Year honoree — the Yellow Jackets return a strong nucleus from last season, including one All-American, two NCAA Division III national qualifiers, five All-OAC selections, and three Academic All-OAC performers.
BW closed the 2024–25 campaign with a 13-4 overall record and a perfect 7-0 OAC slate, capturing their fifth straight conference title and placing fourth at the 2025 NCAA Championships.
The Yellow Jackets open the 2025-26 campaign on Saturday, November 1 when they travel to Adrian, Michigan to compete in the Adrian College Invitational inside the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center at 10 a.m.
