BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's volleyball team fell to the Muskingum University Muskies 1-3 on seniors' day at the Lou Higgins Center inside Ursprung Gymnasium.
BW dropped their last regular season home match and Ohio Athletic Conference match in a four-set fight. The Jackets uncharacteristically lost their first set 19-25. This was the first time the Jackets have lost the opening set since October 11 against Albion (Mich.). The next set went 25-21 in favor of the Jackets, although the next two sets had identical scores and fell in favor of the Muskies, 21-25.
BW Leaders (15-13, 5-3 OAC)
- Senior setter Katarina Blazetic (DeLand, Fla.) recorded 43 assists to lead the team. She is only 19 assists away from being seventh all-time in BW history.
- Senior libero/defensive specialist Paige Contris (Pemberville / Eastwood) got 21 digs and tied the team lead with first-year Morgan Kaylor (Galloway / Hilliard Bradley) who had 21 too.
- Senior outside hitter Gabby Schlecht (Naperville, Ill. / North) landed two aces alongside first-year teammate Kaylor who also recorded two.
Muskingum Leaders (18-9, 6-2 OAC)
- Emma Johnson led the Muskies with 15 kills.
- Alexis Bradley had 21 assists to lead the squad.
- Cierra Lathrop led her team with four aces.
