BEXLEY, Ohio – Balwin Wallace University women's volleyball beat the Capital University Comets in the Capital Center Performance Arena in a 3-0 straight set victory. The Jackets are now 1-0 in conference play and 7-1 all-time against the Comets on the road.
Baldwin Wallace (10-9) outperformed the Comets (2-13) while setting larger margins of victory in each set (25-23, 25-18, 25-13).
Coach Kate Latkovic's team has won five of their last six matches in three-set sweeps. This is familiar territory for the second-year head coach since they earned five straight-set sweeps in their first nine matches of the 2024 season. BW will look to maintain this momentum as they dive into their OAC campaign.

- Sophomore outside hitter Lyla Nash (Berkey / Evergreen) and senior outside hitter Gabby Schlecht (Naperville, Ill. / North) both earned 11 kills to lead the Jackets.
- Junior OAC Offensive Player of the Week Lexi Smith (Tiffin / Columbian) and first-year middle hitter Grace Keane (Cleveland / St. Joseph Academy) made two blocks each.
- Senior setter Katarina Blazetic (DeLand, Fla.) contributed 32 assists to lead the team.
- Senior libero Paige Contris (Pemberville / Eastwood) made 20 digs.
