IRVING, Texas – Baldwin Wallace University All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC offensive lineman
Grant Davis (Ottawa Hills) has been selected to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society.
Davis, who carries a perfect 4.00 grade point average in chemistry, is one of a NFF record 2,532 football student-athletes from 339 colleges or universities from divisions of NCAA and NAIA to be recognized. To achieve the honor, a student-athlete had to maintain a 3.2 grade point average or higher throughout their college careers.
This season, he started in all 10 games at right guard after switching from the defensive line.
Davis anchored an offensive line that averaged 371.3 yards of total offense.
For his career,
Davis has appeared in 30 games, including 20 at defensive tackle. He has recorded 45 tackles, four tackles for a loss and 1.5 quarterback sacks.
Davis was a 2024 All-OAC second-team selection.
Off the field, he was a three-time Academic All-OAC honoree, a 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American, two-time CSC Academic All-District selection, the 2023 BW Academic Excellence Award recipient for highest grade point average on team, the 2023 BW Lee Tressel Academic Award winner, a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma and Dayton C. Miller honor societies.
BW finished the 2024 season with an overall record of 7-3 and an 6-3 mark in the OAC.
