BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's track and field team hosted its second and final home meet of the outdoor season in the Harrison Dillard Twilight.
The meet was unscored.
The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:
- Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference sprinter Abby Collier (Dublin / Coffman) finished second in the 200-meter dash in a time of 24.87. Collier also competed in the 400-meter dash, placing fifth in a time of 56.93.
- Senior All-American distance runner Hope Murphy (Mogadore) broke her own record in the 800-meter run after winning in a time of 2:07.77 (originally set at 2:09.03 in 2023). Murphy also competed in the 1500-meter run, finishing fourth in a time of 4:32.03.
Field event highlights:
- Sophomore All-OAC jumper Rylee Gorrell (Grove City, Pa. / Grove City Area) placed second in the high jump with a mark of 1.62 meters.
- Freshman jumper Peyton Putnam (Shelby) finished fifth in the pole vault with a distance of 3.36 meters.
BW is back in action on Wednesday, May 14 for the Augustana (Ill.) Midwest Twilight Qualifier.
