Kostura Garners First Career CSC Baseball Academic All-American Accolade

AUSTIN, Texas – Baldwin Wallace University junior All-American left-handed pitcher Brit Kostura (Teqesta, Fla./Jupiter Christian School) has been named as a 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Division III Baseball Academic All-American for the first time in his career.

Kostura becomes the 133rd BW student-athlete to earn Academic All-American honors, including the second student-athlete during the 2024-25 academic year and the 19th baseball honoree.

Kostura, who was named to the third team, carries a 3.972 grade point average in sustainability and finance.

This season, Kostura appeared in 12 games with nine starts for a record of 5-1.  He allowed 26 runs (23 earned) for a 3.07 earned run average (ERA).  Kostura struck out a career-high 63 batters with 20 walks in 67.1 innings pitched. For his efforts, Kostura became just third player in program history and the second in a row to be named the Kent Tekulve OAC Co-Pitcher of the Year.  He also earned his first All-OAC honor as he was a first team honoree.  Kostura was a D3baseball.com All-American fifth team selection, an American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings and D3baseball.com All-Region VII second team honoree. He threw the fifth no-hitter in program history on May 2 against John Carroll University. He was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week and the NCBWA National Pitcher of the Week Honorable Mention on May 7, the OAC Pitcher of the Week on May 5, and was a part of the OAC All-Tournament Team.  

For his career, Kostura has appeared in 22 games with 10 starts.  He has a career record of 5-1 with one save in 84.0 innings pitched.  Kostura has allowed 30 runs (26 earned) for a career ERA of 2.79. 

Off the diamond, he is a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of Alpha Chi Sigma and Dayton C. Miller honoraries.

BW finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 32-15 and a 13-5 mark in the OAC.  The Yellow Jackets won the OAC Tournament Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III Regional Tournament.
