Women's Soccer Falls to Waynesburg (Pa.)

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team was defeated by Waynesburg (Pa.) University by a score of 1-0 in a home game on The Tressel Field at George Finnie Stadium. 

BW Leaders (0-4-2)

  • Sophomore midfielder Macie Moscovic (Davisburg, Mich./Clarkston) and sophomore forward Maria Dee (Vermilion/Elyria Catholic) led the Yellow Jackets with two shots on goal

  • Junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference goalkeeper Kelly Carver (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville East) had six saves in net

  • Junior forward Kalyn Rich (Lynchburg/Lynchburg-Clay), junior Academic All-OAC midfielder Mia Fourtounis (Akron/Revere), and Junior Academic All-OAC defender Ella James (Loveland) all led the way by recording two shots on offense

  • BW won the shots attempted battle, 14-13

Waynesburg Leaders (5-1)

  • Regan Mittendorf led the way with one goal while taking four shots; three of them were on goal

  • Junior Goalkeeper Lex Greenlief allowed no goals and tallied nine saves

First Half (Waynesburg 1-0)

  • 26:18 – Waynesburg got on the board first with an unassisted goal by Reagan Mittendorf to give them a 1-0 lead

Second Half (Waynesburg 1-0)

  • No goals were scored over the final 45 minutes; BW led the second half in shots, 10-7
