Women's Soccer Gets First Win of 2025 on Seniors' Day Against Adrian (Mich.)

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team collected their first win of the season on seniors' day against Adrian (Mich.) College by a score of 1-0 on the Tressel Field at George Finnie Stadium.

BW celebrated five student-athletes before the occasion, including Karli Barringer (Blacklick/Bishop Hartley), Caitlin Callahan (Batavia, Ill.) Sydni Mudge (Birch Run, Mich.), Bailey Olin (Medina), and Lexi Thompson (Maineville/Little Miami) for their contributions on and off the field during their time wearing the Brown and Gold.

Kalyn Rich (Lynchburg/Lynchburg-Clay) was the difference maker for the Yellow Jackets (1-6-2), scoring the only goal of the game just under 47 minutes into the contest to help lead the team to its first victory since November 2, 2024.


BW Leaders 

  • In addition to her goal, Rich led the Yellow Jackets with one goal and four shots taken; two of them were at the target

  • Junior goalie Kelly Carver (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville East) had three saves to help the shutout 

  • BW took 15 shots while Adrian had 12 to outnumber them in this particular category

Adrian Leaders (3-5-1)

  • Annamarie Fosmoen led the Bulldogs with six shots taken

  • Along with Fosmoen, Delaney Batur and Allana Earl each had one shot on goal

  • Goalkeeper Katelyn Stanton had five saves while allowing one goal

First Half (0-0)

  • No goals were scored in the half, BW led the way in shots with nine in contrast to Adrian's six attempts toward the net 

Second Half (BW 1-0)

  • 43:11 - Rich got BW on the board first with an unassisted goal after taking the ball herself from midfield to the target; it's her second goal of the season which leads the team in shots that have connected

The Yellow Jackets travel to play fifth-ranked Case Western Reserve University on Tuesday, September 30 for a 7:30 pm matchup at DiSanto Field. Fans can tune into FloCollege for coverage of the game.
