DELAWARE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team went on the road and defeated Ohio Wesleyan University by a score of 81-70 to snap a two-game losing streak and conclude the regular season non-conference slate.
The Yellow Jackets' offense was alive throughout the entirety of the game, with four players scoring in double figures to lead the Brown and Gold to its fourth win of 2025-26.

Junior forward Isaac Richardson (Avon Lake) led all BW players with 17 points, and he also had five rebounds

Freshman guard Josh Byers (Strongsville) had 16 points and was six-for-11 from the field

Junior forward AJ Pestello (Cuyahoga Falls/Stow-Munroe Falls) scored 15 points, had six rebounds, and four assists

Sophomore guard Brock Beech (Medina) scored 12 points, had a team-leading seven rebounds, and two blocks
- Junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference guard Titus Baskerville IV (Stow-Munroe Falls) dished out eight assists to help the Brown and Gold offense get numerous baskets

First Half (BW 45-40)

The game started off with Ohio Wesleyan winning the jump ball, but they turned it over on their first possession, and Richardson scored the first points of the contest with a layup

The Yellow Jackets held Ohio Wesleyan scoreless for the first three minutes of the game, jumping out to an early 10-0 lead

Already having the lead to start things off, BW went on another 8-0 run to lead 28-10 the first 8:30 of the game

After leading by as large as 20, 42-22 at the 4:23 mark, OWU closed out the first half on an 18-3 run, and BW only led by five at the break

Richardson led all scorers with 13 points at the break
- The Yellow Jackets had six offensive rebounds throughout the half and had the advantage in the category, 6-3, after 20 minutes of play
Second Half (BW 81-70)

The second half started in a back-and-forth battle with BW being up by as many as 11 and by as few as five the first six minutes after coming out of the locker room

After this stretch, OWU cut their deficit to just one on two different instances, but the Brown and Gold extended their lead back up to 11, 75-64, with 3:51 to play in the game

From here, BW was able to run down the clock to pull off the 81-70 victory
