BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team has risen to No. 10 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and No. 16 in the D3Hoops.com top-25 polls.
Women's basketball shot up five spots in the WBCA poll and one spot in the D3Hoops.com poll since last week. There are no other Ohio Athletic Conference women's basketball teams receiving votes in either poll.
The Yellow Jackets improved to 7-0 in the OAC and 14-2 overall after two OAC victories last week. BW beat Heidelberg 92-38 behind a career-best scoring day by
Taylor Bass (Strongsville) who led the team with 15 points. The second game of the week was an 80-46 victory over Wilmington where
Laura McCoy (Newton Falls / Garrettsville Garfield) scored 16 points in the first quarter to finish with a career-high 19 points. She also earned the Women's Yellow Jacket of the Week award following this performance.
