BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball lost to Chatham (Pa.) University in a non-conference matchup, 62-55, inside Ursprung Gymnasium.
BW Leaders (3-9)
- Freshman guard Josh Byers (Strongsville) scored a team-high 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds
- Junior forward Isaac Richardson (Avon Lake) added 13 points and nine rebounds
- Junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) guard Titus Baskerville IV (Stow-Munroe Falls) led BW with six assists and three steals
Chatham Leaders (7-4)
- Sophomore guard Sam Norfleet IV scored a team-high 14 points
- Senior forward Jake TenBerge recorded a team-high seven rebounds and scored 11 points
- Junior guard Drew Vizenor added 11 points
First Half (Chatham 28-24)
- Richardson scored the first five points of the game with a three-pointer and a layup
- Chatham pulled ahead after an 8-0 run from the 10:32 to 8:11 marks of the half
- Junior forward Andrew Griffith (Akron/Archbishop Hoban) stopped Chatham's run with a jumper at the 6:27 points
- BW tied the game after a 7-0 run late in the half
- The Brown and Gold outrebounded the Cougars 21-17
- Senior guard Myles Reynolds (Cleveland/St. Edward) and Richardson led the Yellow Jackets in first-half scoring with five points each
Second Half (Chatham 62-55)
- TenBerge notched the first points of the half with a layup
- Chatham went on an 11-0 run that spanned two and a half minutes from 18:09 to 15:37
- BW cut the Chatham lead to eight with a 6-0 run from 7:30 to 5:02
- Byers knocked down a clutch three at 2:59 to reduce the Cougar lead to seven
- Junior forward AJ Pestello (Cuyahoga Falls/Stow-Munroe Falls) made a layup with 25 seconds left to make it a five-point game, but the comeback attempt ultimately fell short
