Men's Soccer Tops Otterbein for Second Consecutive Win

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team won a road Ohio Athletic Conference matchup against Otterbein University at Memorial Stadium by a final score of 1-0.

The game marks the Yellow Jackets' second consecutive win, and they improve to 3-2-2 against conference opponents with only two games remaining in the regular season.

Game Recap
Senior goalkeeper Diego Teran had a perfect first half, saving all five shots on goal that came his way to keep the game knotted at zero. As a team, the Brown and Gold took five shots in the opening half.

Early in the second half at the 53:11 mark of play, freshman defenseman Zach Arnold put the Yellow Jackets ahead, scoring the first goal of his career. Freshman defenseman Chase Rappaport picked up his third assist of the season on the play.

The Yellow Jackets defense held strong in the second half and did not allow a single shot on goal. Teran picked up his seventh shutout of the year, and the Arnold goal proved to be enough to take down the number two team in the conference.

The Matchup
With the win this afternoon, BW moves to 6-11-3 all time against Otterbein. Otterbein was ranked number two in the preseason OAC coaches' poll heading into the season.
