WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University women's volleyball freshman defensive specialist Libby Hubert has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Defensive Player of the Week. This is the first career OAC award for Hubert following two impressive performances last week.

Hubert collected 63 digs, two service aces, and 10 assists in the two BW matches last week against Muskingum and No. 16 Otterbein. She had a career-best 39 digs in the 2-3 loss to Muskingum, which was 14 more digs than her previous career best of 25. Hubert also added a career-high six assists this match. In the fourth set, Hubert rescued BW from an 11-0 deficit to make a 10-0 run as the server, and BW won the set in remarkable fashion. Hubert was also the team leader in the 2-3 loss to Otterbein with 24 digs. She is 10^th in the OAC with 3.23 digs/set this season.

In 2026, Hubert is tied for the team lead in service aces with 23 as the newcomer has made herself one of the team's most consistent servers. She has given the team a sense of reliability in moments when they need a comeback, most notably the comeback from being down 11-0 against Muskingum to win that set.

In her career, Hubert has played in 18 out of 22 matches with seven starts for BW. She was named Women's Yellow Jacket of the Week on October 14 after recording 15 digs and three service aces in the victory over Ohio Northern. Hubert is a business major and a native of Green, Ohio.
