ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team picked up a decisive 2-0 win on the road against the University of Mount Union at Kehres Stadium. The Yellow Jackets took a two-goal lead into the half and never looked back. With the win, the team moves to 6-5-1 overall and 1-1 in OAC play.

The Yellow Jackets dominated the first half, taking a 1-0 lead at 13:17 when
Mia Fourtounis found Kayln Rich who knocked it in for her team-leading sixth goal of the season. Rich picked up an assist later in the half, feeding
Hayden Elmlinger who scored the first goal of her career at the 29:53 mark as the team went into the break up by two. Goalkeeper
Mackenzie Butcher saved all four shots on goal in the first half.
In the second half, the Brown and Gold defense did not allow a single shot on goal. The two early goals ended up being more than enough to take home the victory, now sitting at six wins, two more than they had in all of 2025. BW put eight shots on net to Mount Union's four and committed less fouls than the Purple Raiders.
The Matchup
With their win tonight, Baldwin Wallace moves to 11-8-2 all-time against Mount Union since 2008, who were ranked fifth in the OAC preseason coaches' poll.
Looking Ahead
The Yellow Jackets return to the pitch on Saturday, October 10 in Ada, Ohio to take on the Ohio Northern University Polar Bears. The OAC matchup will kick off at 4 pm.
