BYESVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished in second place at the Muskingum University Spring Invitational at the Cambridge Country Club.
BW was second of five teams with 693 strokes on the par-72 and 5,611 yard Cambridge layout. Otterbein University was the champion with 680 strokes.
- Freshman Kylie Porter (North Canton/Hoover) was the runner-up as she fired rounds of 82 and 81 for a two-round total of 163
- Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC Alana Smith (Fremont/Ross) tied for fourth as she carded rounds of 90 and 84 for a two-day total of 174
- Sophomore Taylor Kuhrt (Columbia Station/Columbia) tied for eighth as she shot identical rounds of 89 for a two-round total of 178 It was Kuhrt's first invitational for the Brown and Gold.
- Freshman Ashley Bistodeau (North Branch, Minn.) tied for eighth as she posted rounds of 97 and 81 for a two-day total of 178
- Sophomore Gillian Mitchell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) tallied rounds of 99 and 92 for a two-round total of 191
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, April 3 when they travel to Alliance to compete in the University of Mount Union Spring Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.
