BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team defeated Oberlin College by a score of 18-8 on Tressel Field inside George Finnie Stadium to improve to 3-2.
BW (3-2) was led by senior attack
Reichen Geiselhart (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) who had five goals and junior attack/midfielder
Noah Dodgion (Hilliard/Davidson), who scored four goals and had an assist to go with his performance. Junior goalie
AJ Schultz (Mukwonago, Wis.) had 14 saves for a .636 save percentage and added his first career goalie goal to highlight the victory.
Oberlin was led by Cooper Zancosky and Solomon Brennan, each scoring two goals. Goalkeeper Nolan Grieshaber made three saves.
1st Quarter (BW 6-3)
- Dodgion scored two goals with four other players scoring one each
- BW had ten ground balls and one save
- The Yellow Jackets took ten shots in the opening quarter
2nd Quarter (BW 7-3)
- Senior attack/midfield Jake Koonmen (Fairport, N.Y.) had the only goal in the quarter, assisted by Paxton Allison (Redondo Beach, Calif./St. John Bosco)
- Schultz had four saves at the half
3rd Quarter (BW 10-6)
- Geiselhart had two goals and senior attack/midfield Bennet Trout (Pickerington/North) added one to that
- The Brown and Gold took four shots in the third quarter
- Schultz recorded four saves in the quarter
4th Quarter (BW 18-8)
- Geiselhart led the way with three goals
- Four different players each had a goal as well
- Schultz netted a goalie goal from downtown to make the score 13-7
- BW outscored Oberlin 8-2 this quarter
