GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team earned a 10-8 non-conference victory over Grove City College at Robert E. Thorn Field.

Baldwin Wallace (4-2) was led offensively by junior All-OAC attack Noah Dodgion (Hilliard/Davidson) with a hat trick, while sophomore Academic All-OAC midfielder Bennet Trout (Pickerington/North) tallied a goal and a game-high five assists. Sophomore midfielder Paxton Allison (Redondo Beach, Calif./St. John Bosco) and junior midfielder Reichen Geiselhart (Cranberry Twp., Pa./Seneca Valley) each added two goals for the Yellow Jackets. In goal, AJ Schultz (Mukwonago, Wis.) made 12 saves to earn the win for BW.

Grove City (2-5) was led by Davis Schneider with two goals and two assists while Rigdon Greene and Sawyer Strong each added two goals.

First Quarter (GCC 3-2)

• Grove City opened the scoring when Sawyer Strong netted an unassisted goal at the 11:26 mark.
• The Wolverines extended their lead to 2-0 as Stewart McClain scored off a pass from Tucker Saums with 10:39 remaining.
• Baldwin Wallace got on the board when Geiselhart scored off an assist from Trout with 3:48 left in the period.
• Allison tied the game at 2-2 with a goal assisted by Trout at the 2:32 mark.
• Grove City regained the lead when Schneider scored off an assist from Greene with 1:43 remaining to give the Wolverines a 3-2 advantage after one quarter.

Second Quarter (BW 5-3)

• Senior defender Ethan Hingson (Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) evened the game at 3-3 when he scored off a feed from Trout with 13:37 left in the half.
• Dodgion gave the Yellow Jackets their first lead of the game with a goal assisted by Ian Shealy at the 5:31 mark.
• Dodgion struck again just over a minute later with an unassisted goal to extend the Baldwin Wallace lead to 5-3 heading into halftime.

Third Quarter (BW 8-7)

• Dodgion completed his hat trick with an unassisted goal just 35 seconds into the second half.
• Trout added a goal seconds later off an assist from face-off specialist Evan Vetter (Cranberry Twp., Pa./Seneca Valley) to extend the Yellow Jacket lead to 7-3.
• Grove City responded with a goal from Tyler Blazek, assisted by Schneider, at the 9:32 mark.
• Greene cut the deficit to 7-5 with a goal assisted by Schneider with 7:53 remaining.
• Shealy pushed the Baldwin Wallace lead to 8-5 when he scored off a pass from Trout at the 4:40 mark.
• The Wolverines closed the quarter with back-to-back goals from Greene and Strong to trim the deficit to 8-7 heading into the final frame.

Fourth Quarter (BW 10-8)

• Allison extended the Yellow Jacket lead to 9-7 with an unassisted goal at the 12:38 mark.
• Geiselhart added a man-up goal, assisted by Trout, with 6:15 remaining to push the Baldwin Wallace lead to 10-7.
• Schneider scored the final goal of the contest for Grove City off a pass from Josh McDermott with 5:09 left, but Baldwin Wallace held on for the 10-8 victory.
