Women’s Lacrosse Drops Home Opener, Falls to Ohio Wesleyan

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse team opened the home portion of its schedule as it fell to Ohio Wesleyan University in a non-conference game by a final score of 12-11 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.

BW Leaders (2-2)
  • Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference attack Clare Alic (Carmel, Ind./Guerin Catholic), who is this week's OAC Offensive Player of the Week, and junior All-OAC midfielder Annette Doren (Lakewood) each scored three goals
  • Freshman attack Hayley Huston (Strongsville) dished out two assists
  • Freshman netminder Aubrey Berner (Columbus/Dublin Coffman), who is this week's OAC Defensive Player of the Week, allowed 12 goals and made 11 saves
Ohio Wesleyan Leaders (4-0)
  • Senior attack Sam Frary, senior midfielder Tiffany Trinh, junior attack Brie Colangelo, sophomore midfielder Emma Reynolds and freshman attack/midfielder Jules Kyle all scored two goals 
  • Colangelo dished out a game-high four assists
  • Freshman goalkeeper Morgan Leeper allowed 11 goals with eight saves
