BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team had it its winning streak come to an end as it fell to Capital University in its Ohio Athletic Conference opener by a final score of 7-0 on the Pop Collin Tennis Courts.

Capital (6-10, 1-1 OAC) won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches against BW (8-3, 0-1 OAC).

Doubles

• Junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Colleen Andersen (Ashtabula/St. John) and junior Academic All-OAC Olivia Koutouras (Avon Lake) fell at first doubles by a score of 6-1
• Senior Gillian Brown (Brunswick) and junior Academic All-OAC Samantha Thielen (Toledo/Sylvania Northview) fell at second doubles by a score of 6-2
•  Sophomore Kate Slutz (Salem/West Branch) and sophomore Sarah Sayyed (Westlake) fell at third doubles by a score of 6-0

Singles

• Andersen fell at first singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-0
• Koutouras fell at second singles by scores of 6-3 and 6-0
• Brown fell at third singles by scores of 6-1 and 6-2
• Thielen fell at fourth singles by scores of 6-2 and 7-5
• Slutz fell at fifth singles by identical scores of 6-3 and 6-4
• Sayyed fell at sixth singles by scores of 6-0 and 6-2

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Sunday, April 12 when they travel to Washington, Pennsylvania for a non-conference match against Washington and Jefferson College inside the Janet Swanson Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
