ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team fell to the University of Mount Union in an Ohio Athletic Conference match by a final score of 7-0 on the Whitehill Tennis Courts.

Mount Union (7-9, 1-2 OAC) won two of three doubles matches and all six singles matches against BW (8-5, 0-2 OAC).

Doubles

• Junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Colleen Andersen (Ashtabula/St. John) and junior Academic All-OAC Olivia Koutouras (Avon Lake) won at first doubles by a score of 6-3
• Senior Gillian Brown (Brunswick) and junior Academic All-OAC Samantha Thielen (Toledo/Sylvania Northview) fell at second doubles by a score of 6-1
•  Sophomore Kate Slutz (Salem/West Branch) and sophomore Sarah Sayyed (Westlake) fell at third doubles by a score of 6-0

Singles

• Andersen fell at first singles by scores of 7-5 and 7-6 and 7-4
• Koutouras fell at second singles by identical scores of 6-1
• Brown fell at third singles by scores of 6-4 and 6-2
• Thielen fell at fourth singles by scores of 6-0 and 6-1
• Slutz fell at fifth singles by scores of 6-1 and 6-0
• Sayyed fell at sixth singles by identical scores of 6-0

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, April 22 when they host an OAC match against Ohio Northern University on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts at 4:30 p.m.
