WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University freshman women's golfer
Kylie Porter (North Canton/Hoover) has been named the OAC Golfer of the Week for the second time in her career.
Porter, who earned her first career honor on September 23, brings home the weekly honor after placing second at the Muskingum University Spring Invitational on March 30 and finishing third at the University of Mount Union Spring Invitational on April 3.
At Muskingum, she was was the runner-up of 27 golfers as she fired rounds of of 82 and 81 for a two-round total of 163 to guide BW to a second-place finish.
At Mount Union,
Porter placed third of 40 golfers as she carded a career-best round of 76, which ranks as the second-best round in school history. The Yellow Jackets finished fourth of eight teams and was one stroke behind third with only four golfers.
This season, she leads the team with an 81.00 stroke average in nine invitationals and 12 rounds.
Porter has had three rounds in the 70's.
BW is back in on Monday, April 13 when it travels to West Lafayette to compete in the OAC Spring Preview at the River Greens Golf Course.
