Four Women’s Tennis Student-Athletes Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Four Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis student-athletes have been selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and must have been in the lineup for 70% of the total matches played by the team that includes team scores.

Juniors Colleen Andersen (Ashtabula/St. John), Olivia Koutouras (Avon Lake) and Samantha Thielen (Toledo/Sylvania Northview) and sophomore Kate Slutz (Salem/West Branch) and all earned all-district honors and now advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, which will be announced on June 2, 2026.

Andersen, who garners her second straight accolade, carries a 3.916 grade point average in communication science and disorders.  This season, she led the team with a career-high 11 singles wins for an 11-6 record.  Andersen also tied for the team lead with a career-best eight doubles wins.  She was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week on March 30. For her career, Andersen has registered 23 singles wins and 15 doubles victories.  Off the court, she is an Academic All-OAC honoree, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.

Koutouras, who earns her second consecutive honor, carries a 3.906 grade point average in digital marketing.   This season, she tied for the team lead with a career-high eight doubles victories. Koutouras was fourth on the squad with a career-best seven singles wins.  For her career, Koutouras has recorded 12 singles victories and 12 doubles wins.  Off the court, she is an Academic All-OAC honoree, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma and Dayton C. Miller Honor Societies.

Thielen, who garners her first honor, carries a 3.540 grade point average in communication science and disorders.  This season, she tied for the team lead with a career-high eight doubles victories.  Thielen was third on the team with a career-best nine singles wins.  For her career, Thielen has tallied 15 singles victories and 11 doubles wins.  Off the court, she is an Academic All-OAC honoree, Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar.

Slutz, who earns her first accolade, carries a 3.952 grade point average in business administration and human resource management. This season, she was second on the team with a career-high six doubles victories.  Slutz was fourth on the squad with a career-best seven singles wins.  For her career, Slutz has posted seven singles victories and six doubles wins.  Off the court, she is a Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar.
 
BW finished the 2025-26 season with an overall record of 8-7 and a 0-4 mark in the OAC.  The Yellow Jackets had a seven match winning streak during the campaign.
