Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Celebrate Four NCAA National Championship Qualifiers

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's track and field will have three student-athletes and women's track and field will have one student-athlete competing in the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships next week.
 
The NCAA selected the top 20 declared student-athletes in each individual event to participate in the national championships.
 
Sophomore USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region sprinter/hurdler Jameire Honzu (Warren/Harding) will compete on the national stage for the first time in her collegiate career. She qualified for the 100m hurdles event with her season-best time of 14.26 seconds at the Harrison Dillard Twilight on May 8. This time is ranked No. 16 in the nation. Honzu will compete at 5:05 p.m. EST on Friday, May 22 for the preliminary round and 2:50 p.m. EST on Saturday, May 23 in the final round.
 
Junior First Team All-American jumper Amari Waddy (Fort Campbell, Ky.) qualified for the high jump event after earning a career-best high jump of 2.07m (6' 9.5") at the Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships on May 1. This height ranks him at No. 12 in the nation. He will be competing in his second NCAA Championship event this year after finishing in seventh place in the high jump at the Indoor Championships in March. Waddy will be competing at 12:00 p.m. EST on Friday, May 22.
 
Senior OAC Champion sprinter/jumper Kaedan Faggs (Marion/Harding) will compete in his fourth career NCAA Championship event next week as a long jumper. He qualified for the outdoor championships on April 4 at the Dave Labor Invitational when he recorded a 7.41m (24' 3.75") long jump. This mark put him fifth in the nation. Faggs will compete at 3:30 p.m. EST on Thursday, May 21.
 
Junior First Team All-American thrower Kitar Olsen (Whitefish, Mont.) will compete in his second NCAA Championship event next week when he takes the field for the hammer throw. His season-best throw of 57.66m (189' 2") put him at 18th in the country, qualifying him for the national stage. He competed at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships in the weight throw and earned eighth place with an 18.37m (60' 3.25") mark. Olsen is set to throw at 3:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, May 23.
