BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University baseball team is set to host the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament Super Regionals Friday and Saturday, May 22-23 at Fisher Field against the Messiah (Pa.) University Falcons.
The format for this round is a best-of-three, with the winner needing to win two games before losing two. There will be one game played on Friday and another on Saturday before a game three that would be needed if both teams split the first two games. First pitch on Friday is scheduled for noon ET, while the first game Saturday is scheduled for 11 am, with a second game if necessary being at 3:00.
The Yellow Jackets (34-10) come into the contest after winning three consecutive games in the Decatur NCAA Tournament Regional this weekend, with two wins over Wartburg (Iowa) College and one over the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, while Messiah comes in on a four-game winning streak after losing their first game of the Winchester Regional.
The matchup is set to be the Brown and Gold's first in the NCAA Super Regionals since 2023, while Messiah (36-13) made it all the way to the NCAA Division III World Series last year before losing consecutive games to Wisconsin-Whitewater in the championship series.
