BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team competed in a 1-1 draw on the turf of George Finnie Stadium against Transylvania University on senior night, their first home game in 18 days.
The contest marks the second time this season in which the Brown and Gold have competed in a draw. They led for seven minutes before the Pioneers tied it up with time expiring and now have a 2-2-2 record on the season.

Game Recap
In a game that was tightly contested throughout, the Yellow Jackets took 11 shots in the opening half, with BW taking the first and final shots of the 45 minutes. They won the shots battle, 11-3. The team was on target on six of these shots, but they were unable to find the net. The match was tied at one at the break.
The first 35 minutes of the second half were a similar story to the entire first half, with both teams remaining scoreless to this point. They took five shots before they scored their first goal in the 82nd minute of play. Freshman
Davis Van Every connected on his first goal of the season which was assisted by
Nathan Gray, his team-leading second assist of the season.
With BW leading 1-0, the Pioneers scored a goal with three seconds remaining to tie things up at one to cause the draw. The Brown and Gold took 20 shots in contrast to Transylvania's 11 and made five saves between two goalkeepers.
The Matchup
The matchup between the Yellow Jackets and the Pioneers was the third meeting in the last three years between the two schools.
Looking Ahead
BW is back on the pitch Wednesday, September 23, where they will travel to the Great Lakes State to take on The University of Olivet at the UOlivet Soccer Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
