KENYON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team competed in a 1-1 draw at Mavec Field for their first draw of the 2026 season.
After trailing for most of the game,
Leah Snell connected for the first goal of her career to tie things up at one, with one-time 2026 Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week
Elise Papp coming in on the assist to complete the tie.
Game Recap
The game was not scoreless for long. The Owls connected a little more than six minutes in to take the lead. The Brown and Gold had a total of three shots in the opening 45 minutes and a corner kick additionally.
Coming out of the break, Kenyon still had the lead the first 20 minutes until the Brown and Gold connected. Snell notched her first goal to tie it up at one with Papp assisting on it. BW had two good looks; one was blocked and the other missed on the high side. Both teams ran out the clock the remainder of the way as the contest concluded in a 1-1 tie. Their first tie of the season, they had four of these instances a year ago.

Since 2019, the Yellow Jackets and Owls have met in five instances, with BW holding a 2-1-1 record in these games.
