BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team earned a 1-0 victory over the Kalamazoo College Hornets on Tressel Field inside George Finnie Stadium. The Yellow Jackets are now 4-2-2 on the season as they win the first game of their three-match homestand.
Game Recap
Both teams traded chances through a physical opening half that saw 11 fouls and three yellow cards. Kalamazoo had the edge in shots with seven to BW's six, and Kalamazoo's keeper had two saves to keep the match scoreless.

Braden Lamb each registered a shot on goal while the BW defense held the Hornets to none.
BW wasted little time as
Robbie Rochford put one past the goalkeeper to take a 1-0 lead just 89 seconds into the second half. The Yellow Jackets would maintain this lead, but it did not happen without a fight.
The second half took the physicality up a level with the teams combining for 16 fouls and five yellow cards to keep the refs busy. The BW defense took over by only allowing one corner kick, two shots, and no shots on goal. Kalamazoo made a final push with several substitutions after the 74
th minute but could not find an equalizer.
The Matchup
This is the first time in recorded history that these two programs have faced off. The Yellow Jackets are now 1-0-0 against the Hornets.

The Yellow Jackets will get some rest, watch some football, and return to Tressel Field inside George Finnie Stadium to face the Waynesburg University Yellow Jackets tomorrow at 5:00 p.m.
