BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team continued its strong start to the 2026 season on Sunday evening, earning a dominant 5-0 victory over Waynesburg University on Tressel Field at George Finnie Stadium. The Yellow Jackets scored three goals in the opening half before adding two more in the second half to improve to 5-2-2 overall. on the season.

BW wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as Robbie Rochford found the back of the net in the fourth minute off an assist from Chase Rappaport. Just over three minutes later, Nate Usrey doubled the Yellow Jackets' lead, with goalkeeper Diego Teran credited with the assist.
The Yellow Jackets continued to apply pressure throughout the opening half, with Jacob Frank scoring in the 29th minute off assists from Nathan Gray and Rochford to give BW a 3-0 advantage heading into halftime. Baldwin Wallace outshot Waynesburg 14-0 in the opening 45 minutes.
BW picked up right where it left off in the second half when Randy Jamieson scored in the 47th minute, assisted by Royce Hawkins, extending the lead to 4-0. Usrey then capped the scoring in the 62nd minute with his second goal of the afternoon, assisted by Davis Van Every.
Usrey finished with a team-high two goals and five shots on goal, while Rochford added a goal and an assist. Frank and Jamieson each recorded a goal, while Rappaport, Hawkins, Gray, Van Every and Teran each contributed an assist.
The Yellow Jackets dominated statistically, outshooting the Yellow Jackets 24-4 and putting 14 shots on frame compared to two for Waynesburg. BW also held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.
In goal, Teran recorded one save across 58:55 of action before Seth Warrick finished the match and added one save anchoring BW to its fourth shutout of the season.
The Matchup
The win now gives Baldwin Wallace a 9-1-1 record against Waynesburg since 2013, with their only loss coming last season.
Looking Ahead
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Wednesday, September 30th at home to take on Oberlin before they begin Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play on Saturday, October 1st. Wednesday's game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.
