WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Baldwin Wallace University running back George Linberger has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 28. This marks the third time this season a BW football student-athlete has received the honor and the first of Linberger's career.
Linberger powered Baldwin Wallace to a 49-10 victory over Capital with 166 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries. His four rushing touchdowns tied the Baldwin Wallace single-game record, while his 6.6 yards per carry helped lead the Yellow Jackets to 294 rushing yards and 425 yards of total offense.
With Linberger's help, the Yellow Jackets improved to 3-0 to start the season and opened OAC competition with a 1-0 record.
Linberger and the Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, October 3, when they travel to Tiffin, Ohio, to take on No. 21 Heidelberg in a 7 p.m. matchup.
