Isaac DiTirro (Rootstown) has been selected as the OAC Special Teams Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
DiTirro earns his first weekly accolade after a pivotal fourth quarter performance in BW's 38–0 Hall of Fame and Homecoming shutout of Marietta College last Saturday. With 8:10 remaining and the Pioneers pinned at their own 20-yard line, he blocked the punt and recovered it in the end zone for his first career blocked kick and touchdown.
This season,
DiTirro has appeared in all seven games and has recorded five tackles and his first career quarterback sack for a loss of four yards.
For his career,
DiTirro has appeared in 13 games and has recorded 10 tackles, one quarterback sack and one blocked kick.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, October 25 when they travel to New Concord for an OAC game against Muskingum University on Edgar A. Sherman Field inside McConagha at 1:30 p.m.
