Supers Garners Third Career OAC Men’s Wrestler of the Week Honor

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – For the third time in his career, Baldwin Wallace University junior All-American and No. 4 nationally ranked 165-pound men's wrestler Andrew Supers (Medina) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Wrestler of the Week.

Supers brings home the weekly honor after winning five matches and helping BW to win the BW Invitational.

The All-American opened the week by pinning No. 9 nationally ranked Mark Troni of Washington and Lee (Va.) University in 1:59 as the Yellow Jackets fell to the No. 24 nationally ranked Generals by a score of 20-18 last Friday night.

Supers continued his week of winning as he posted four victories enroute to winning the 165-pound title at the BW Invitational last Saturday.  He received a bye in the first round then he won by pinfall in 5:19 over Landon Mead of Thiel (Pa.) College.  Supers posted victories by pinfall in 2:56 over Kenny Alvarado of NCAA Division II West Liberty (W. Va.) University and by a 17-0 technical fall over Tyson Mills of
West Liberty.  He claimed the title with a 7-1 decision over Bodie Morgan of West Liberty.

This season, Supers has a record of 7-1 with three pins, two technical falls and one major decision.  He was also the 165-pound champion at the Adrian (Mich.) Invitational on November 1.

For his career, Supers ranks 32nd on the school's all-time wins with a record of 82-15.  He is a two-time All-OAC first-team pick and two-time NCAA qualifier. Supers earned his first All-American honor last season with a fourth place finish at the NCAA Division III Championships. He was also the OAC Men's Wrestler of the Week on January 27, 2025, and February 5, 2024. Supers has compiled 21 pins, 21 technical falls and 12 major decisions. 

BW is back in action on Friday, December 5 when it hosts the Yellow Jacket duals against Case Western Reserve University, NCAA Division II University of North Carolina at Pembroke and Wilmington College at 4 p.m.
