CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's track and field team opened their 2025-26 indoor season at the 12th Annual Spartan Holiday Classic at Case Western Reserve University. This meet was unscored.

Track Event Highlights

• Sophomore Kenae Moore (Cypress, Texas / Bridgeland) set a personal record of 8.13 seconds in the 60m dash prelims and then set another of 8.03 seconds in the finals while taking third place.
• Senior Megan Hughes (Oregon / Clay) earned first place in the 3000m run with a PR time of 11:21.61. She beat her previous PR by 42 seconds.
• Hughes set another PR in the mile run of 5:32.77 while finishing in first place. This one was eight seconds faster than her previous best.
• First-year Gabby Vennetti (Boardman) made her track and field debut by finishing less than a second behind Hughes with her second-place mile time of 5:33.43.

Field Event Highlights

• Sophomores Peyton Putnam (Shelby) and Lucy McChesney-Betler (Greensburg, Pa. / Salem) both tied the school record and tied for first place in the pole vault with heights of 3.35m.
• McChesney-Betler earned a long jump PR of 4.82m while finishing in sixth place.
• First-year thrower Morgan Kaylor (Galloway / Hilliard Bradley), also a defensive specialist on the women's volleyball team, made her track and field debut with an 11.16m put to finish in second place.
• First-year thrower Madison Kaylor (Galloway / Hilliard Bradley), identical twin sister of Morgan Kaylor (and a setter on the women's volleyball team), finished in fourth place in the shot put with a 10.72m put.

• Track and field will have over a month until Saturday, January 24 when they return to Northeast Ohio to compete in the Leo Miller & Hayden Snow Meet of Champions, hosted by John Carroll University.
