LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference attack Bennet Trout (Pickerington / North) of the Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team has been recognized as an All-American Honorable Mention by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).

He is the only student-athlete from the OAC to earn All-American recognition this season.

This prestigious honor comes on the heels of an unforgettable season in which Trout was crowned the OAC Offensive Player of the Year, a title earned through dominance, precision, and relentless consistency on the field. The high-powered leader of BW's attack, Trout was the engine that drove the Yellow Jackets all season long—and now the entire country is taking notice.

Trout's stat line speaks volumes. He led both BW and the OAC with 50 points in conference play, including a career-high 26 assists, which also topped the conference. With 24 goals, he ranked third on the team and eighth overall in the OAC. His skillset extended beyond scoring—Trout was a relentless presence across the field, collecting 28 ground balls, causing eight turnovers, and boasting a 69% shooting efficiency with 43 shots on goal.

In total, Trout capped off his junior campaign with a remarkable 101 points, reaching the coveted triple-digit mark behind 55 goals and 46 assists—both career highs. He also contributed significantly across the field, collecting 54 ground balls, causing 14 turnovers, and maintaining an impressive 62% shooting accuracy, underscoring his all-around impact on both ends of the field.

His performance reached legendary status during the OAC Tournament Semifinals, when he shattered the program's single-season goal record—set in 2019—by netting his 54th goal of the year.

A three-time All-OAC honoree, including two First-Team selections and the Rookie of the Year award as a freshman—Trout was also named OAC Offensive Athlete of the Week twice in 2025, bringing his career total to three. He started all 19 games for the Yellow Jackets this season and finished tied for 22nd in NCAA Division III in points per game (5.26)—a testament to his elite national standing.

BW was crowned the 2025 OAC Regular Season Champions for the fifth year in a row after posting a perfect 9-0 conference record and a 14-5 overall record.
