GENEVA, Ohio - Baldwin Wallace University senior All-American high jumper
Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) earned his fourth career All-American honor to conclude his groundbreaking collegiate career at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) at SPIRE Institute.
Pfeiffer brought his collegiate career to a historic close after soaring to a personal best of 2.14 meters to claim second place in the nation. The mark broke his own record of 2.12 meters, set in 2024, and punctuated an unforgettable final season. Competing in his third outdoor NCAA appearance—and sixth national championship overall—Pfeiffer proved once again that he performs best on the biggest stages.
His runner-up finish earned him All-American honors for the fourth time, further cementing his status as the most decorated high jumper in program history. Pfeiffer previously captured the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor High Jump title, and his final outdoor showing not only secured his legacy but left no doubt about the consistency and competitive fire that defined his career. With six NCAA appearances, a national title, two active school records (indoor and outdoor), and a podium finish in his farewell, Pfeiffer exits the stage not just as a champion, but as a lasting standard for excellence.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, May 24 for the third and final day of the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships as sophomore thrower Kitar Olsen (Whitefish, Mont.) competes in the hammer throw at 1:45 p.m.
