WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University football team has been picked to finish second in the 2025 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Coaches Preseason Poll.
BW, who was picked fourth a season ago and finished fourth, was selected second with 55 points by the league's coaches. Defending OAC Champion the University of Mount Union was the unanimous first place choice with 64 points and 8 first place votes. Marietta College, who finished third last year, was tabbed in third with 49 points and one first place vote. Heidelberg University was selected as fourth with 41 points. Rounding out the top five was Ohio Northern University with 40 points.
The Yellow Jackets and
ninth-year head coach Jim Hilvert return 21 Academic All-OAC honorees, 12 starters, and three All-OAC players from last year's squad that finished with an overall record of 7-3 and 6-3 mark in the league.
BW opens the 2025 season on Saturday, September 6 when it travels to Springfield for one of its two non-conference games against longtime rival Wittenberg University on Edwards-Maurer Field at 2 p.m. The Yellow Jackets open the home portion of their schedule and OAC action on Saturday, September 13 when it hosts Wilmington College in the 47th Lee Tressel Classic on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium at 1:30 p.m.
