Porter Runner-Up, Women’s Golf Finishes Third at Donald Ross Invitational

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio – Freshman Kylie Porter (North Canton/Hoover) was the runner-up as the Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished in third place at the Donald Ross Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at both the Manakiki Golf Course and Shaker Heights Country Club.

BW was third of five teams with 713 strokes on the par-72 and 5,603 yard Manakiki and par 72 and 5,662 yard Shaker Heights layouts.  John Carroll was the champion with 673 strokes.
  • Porter was second of 31 golfers as she fired rounds of 80 and 82 for a two-round total of 162
  • Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC Alana Smith (Fremont/Ross) tied for ninth as she carded rounds of 90 and 89 for a two-day total of 179
  • Freshman Ashley Bistodeau (North Branch, Minn.) tied for 11th as she shot rounds of 85 and 95 for a two-round total of 189
  • Sophomore Gillian Mitchell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) tallied rounds of 99 and 93 for a two-day total of 192
  • Freshman Charlotte Falsone (West Salem/Black River), who did not compete in the first round, had a second round score of 129.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday and Sunday, October 4 and 5 when they travel to Willoughby Hills to compete in the John Carroll University Fall Invitational at the Manakiki Golf Course.
